My parents live a long, long way away. There are a few countries between our homes. So they try their best to participate in my pregnancy from the distance.
So I received a parcel today with some gifts for the baby (baby's first gifts!). It's a lot (and I mean a lot) of clothes that they kept from when I was a baby. They are still in really good condition. There are vests, sleeping bags, all-body suits, even little knitted shoes and hats, gloves and pullovers. I bet my grandmother knitted those a good 32 years ago. There are also towels for babies (with hoods) and a crawl blanket and a baby ski suit. They also recorded a CD with baby music in my mother language and sent an old baby book about baby's development after birth.
It's so cute. I can't wait for my husband to carry it upstairs in the nursery (it weighs 9 kg so I'm not even going to try it) and go through it all in much more detail. They are sooooo cute!!!!
I can't wait for the scan being over and it being confirmed that everything is going well.
I worry a little in the moment about my weight. I am no longer so starvingly hungry (even though I thought it was to get even worse right now) and I recently lost a kilo (2 pounds). My husband says not to worry, but I guess I obsess a little about this. They made such a fuss about my low weight when I prepared for IVF that I am really worried about everything now.
